The Lone Tree softball team will meet another brand of Lion on Friday when they travel to Lisbon for a regional semifinal playoff matchup. Lone Tree comes into the game with an overall record of 6-9 after a hard fought 2-1 win over rival Highland on Wednesday in Riverside. For the season, Lone Tree is hitting .284, led by Arlie Lorack with a .383 average. She has 18 hits and 18RBI to go with 12 runs scored. In the circle Lone Tree has a team ERA of 2.83 with Abby Buckman leading the way at 2.47 with a 5-7 overall record in 79 innings, posting 127 strikeouts.

Lisbon enters play with an overall record of 17-3. Lisbon is ranked No. 8 in class 1A in the final poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. They got by HLV 5-3 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. For the year, Lisbon is hitting .405, best in the state, led by Peyton Robinson at .527 with 39 hits, 32 runs scored and 27RBI. Stacia Hall has driven in a team best 31. In the circle, Lisbon has a 2.71 ERA led by Ryleigh Allgood at 1.71. She has a 15-2 overall record with 104 strikeouts in 94 innings. These two teams met last week with Lisbon posting an 18-7 win. The contest between the Lions begins tonight at 7p.m. in Lisbon.
