Seven Washington County 4-Hers will take the stage Sunday for the 2020 Fair Queen pageant. Leah Marek, 2019 Washington County Fair Queen and second runner-up at the Iowa State Fair, will pass on the crown Sunday evening. Coordinator Heather Marek shares who will be in this year’s contest, “We have got seven contestants this year: Taylor Brinning, Brynn Beenblossom, Sydney Cuddeback, Sierra Gillis, Phelan Hostetler, Olivia Marek, and Ellie Todd.” Traditionally the queen gets to go on to compete at the State Fair, but that will not happen this year.

The pageant is being held at the Washington High School Auditorium to help with social distancing. Due to COVID-19, the contest is closed to the public but it can be viewed online. To watch the livestream online click here. KCII will also announce the winner Sunday evening.
