The Washington Public Library is giving a nod to the county fair next week. Librarian Jenisa Harris says they’ll be celebrating all week and will have a special guest on Tuesday, “We’re really excited. We know a lot of you are disappointed because fair week is cancelled and not what it has been in past years. So, Jo [Weidner] and I have put together a week of activities. There’ll be virtual videos and challenges on Facebook the whole week. And then we’re very, very excited because Miss Iowa is going to come do a story time at the library.”

Story time with Miss Iowa will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Wednesday is typically Kids Day at the fair, so the library is having a special interactive virtual session with juggler Jester Jim. He’s been known to juggle fire and spinning iPads.
