
The Iowa State Patrol arrested an Ottumwa man in Washington County for eluding on Wednesday. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 6:19 a.m. emergency officials were notified of a man acting suspiciously walking along Highway 78 near Coppock.
Iowa State Patrol and two Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area. They arrested 31-year-old Darshawn Paris Hope. He was charged with eluding, driving while barred times six, and several traffic violations. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
