The Columbus Wildcat softball team saw their season come to an end last week at the hands of the No. 1 ranked Davenport Assumption Knights at the St. Vincent Athletic Complex in the Quad Cities by a 12-0 score in three innings. Assumption ended the game early by putting up five in the first and seven in the third on a total of 11 hits. The Wildcats were held without a hit in the contest. Columbus wraps up their season in the regional quarterfinal round of the class 3A playoffs with a 2-8 overall record.
