In a statement issued this week by Mid-Prairie head football coach Pete Cavanagh, the Golden Hawk football program is canceling their Mid-Prairie Youth Football Camp next month. Cavanagh explains that due to the concerns prompted by the coronavirus and reduced coaching staff, the youth portion of the camp that is for those between fifth and eighth grade will not happen this year, but the camp for those in high school planning to play football at Mid-Prairie will occur August 3rd through the 6th from 6-8p.m. The Youth Sports Foundation in the area is still planning on having their season and will be distributing information about practice. No decisions have been made as of yet regarding Middle School football at Mid-Prairie.
