The Highland School Board will meet Monday to discuss their return to learn plan and hear updates on projects across the district. The school board will discuss various aspects of their return to learn plan including how hybrid or on-site learning will affect students and their families. Superintendent Ken Crawford believes day care issues will be present if the hybrid learning model is what the school board wants to pursue, “I think with the hybrid model that sounds easy, but also there’s a lot of day care concerns that I have for the community. If the parents are all working and the kids are home half the time and at school half the time, this is a real issue we have to make sure that if we decide to do the hybrid, we need to be ready to answer those questions.” Crawford hopes to release their plans to the public by early August. The school board will also hear updates from HR Green Project Manager Matt Wildman on the waste water project at the high school, the installation of the playground at the elementary school, and HVAC system at the high school.
