There may have been no soccer played on the pitch this past spring, but four Washington soccer players still managed to rake in awards with their work in the classroom.

The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association released last week the 2020 Academic All-State list and the four Demons recognized in class 2A included Simeon Buie on the first team, German Ramirez and Levi Rohr on the second team, and David Rees as honorable mention. Recipients had to be nominated and 129 honorees were chosen across all three classes for boys soccer. 

Ramirez, Rohr, Rees, Gabe Zimmer, and Pascual Mendoza were the five Demon seniors that missed out on their final season due to COVID-19.
