A truck hit an SUV on Highway 218 near Crawfordsville and one driver was arrested. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 8:04 p.m. Saturday a red truck struck a white SUV and airbags deployed. The two drivers were Airam Quiroz of West Liberty and 50-year-old Richard Roost of Tiffin.

Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, the Iowa State Patrol, Crawfordsville QRS, Crawfordsville Fire Department, and Washington County Ambulance responded to the scene. Officers arrested Roost for operating while intoxicated first offense, failure to maintain control, and no proof of insurance accident related. No injuries were reported.
