Earlier this summer changes were announced to Iowa High School football schedules and following that Homecoming at Washington will likely change dates. At the recent Washington Community School Board meeting, Superintendent Willie Stone explained, “I talked about it at our last meeting, at our next meeting we’ll need to move Homecoming from October 9th to play against Fairfield to September 25th because of the change to football schedules.” The school board will officially consider the change and vote on it at their next meeting.
