The Highland School District will provide students who are learning remotely and participating in hybrid learning with take home meals as part of the National Student Lunch Program. The school district will maintain the same rates for lunch meals as last year. Breakfast will also be available for pickup. Meals will be sent home on Thursday or Friday, whichever day is the student’s last day of in-school learning for the week. Students must be signed up to receive meals by 8 p.m. on Tuesday of each week. Students will be responsible for picking up their meals and can utilize school coolers if they have sports practice or need to store their meals somewhere before they head home. Students who are learning fully online this school year will be able to pick up meals from 2:30-3 p.m. on Thursday afternoons at the high school kitchen. The school district will begin this program starting Thursday August 20, meaning signups will need to be completed by Tuesday, August 18. Meals on August 20 will be available to be picked up from 5-5:45 p.m. at the back door of the high school kitchen. A link to the signup sheet can be found by clicking here.
