heat-safety-tips

Be prepared for hot conditions to linger through Friday across the KCII-listening area. Temperatures climbed into the mid-90’s on Monday and Tuesday with dew points at 70.

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities states the conditions are causing an increased risk for heat-related illness. Be safe and limit outdoor activities. Also, drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and lightweight clothing, and check on family and neighbors. The heat index is expected to range in the upper 90s to lower 100s for several days in a row.

There is a chance for a thunderstorm Friday before temperatures fall on Saturday with a high in the low-80s. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
