Multiple emergency responders went to the scene of a garage fire in Washington Tuesday night. At about 7 p.m. the fire was reported in the 400 block of East Madison Street. Temperatures were in the mid-80s as firefighters from Washington and Ainsworth put on their gear and extinguished the fire from the alley.

While crews worked at the scene, part of South 4th Avenue was blocked. Washington Police and Washington County Ambulance also responded to the scene. KCII News will bring you more information as it becomes official.
