Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk fans will get to enjoy fall sporting events once again, but with some new health and safety guidelines they will have to follow. Fans will be required to wear a face covering at indoor venues, but will not be required to wear them at outdoor venues. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. Concession stands will be made available in a grab and go style to make transactions as quick as possible and to limit crowd sizes. Parents will have the opportunity to transport their students to events if they would like. A waiver will need to be filled out and communication with the head coach ahead of a game will need to occur.
Fans should refrain from attending events if they are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a confirmed positive COVID-19 case in the past 14 days. Symptoms can include a fever of over 100.4 degrees, cough, shortness of breath, headache, or loss of taste or smell. The Mid-Prairie School District will work with Washington County Public Health if a positive case arises from an event and will follow their guidance on quarantine procedures.
The school district will announce any changes in these guidelines as the school year progresses. At a minimum, guidance will be provided for each sporting season as they occur.
