As the first games of the fall season are being played out this week at the Highland Community School District, fans are reminded of new health and safety protocols. While attending indoor or outdoor venues, fans will be required to wear a face covering and maintain proper social distancing when possible. The first two rows of the gym bleachers will not be open for seating.
Concession stands will be open and serving food and beverages, but the district asks fans to eat their food in the cafeteria. Drinks will be allowed in the gym area. Once a match concludes, fans are to observe as much social distancing as possible. Those waiting for students after a game are also asked to adhere to social distancing.
Fans are asked to not attend events if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have come in contact with a positive COVID-19 case in the past 14 days. Symptoms to look out for include a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, shortness of breath, cough, headache, or loss of taste or smell. The district will update these guidelines as they see fit throughout the school year.
