Lake Darling’s expanded walking trail is moving along as planned with more concrete poured this week near the Causeway Bridge. This cement trail extension will give better access to the ADA-compliant bridge and organized youth group campsite. Once completed, the entire walking trail will be two miles long. If you include the parts connected to the roadways, nearly five miles of paved trail will be available to bike or run all year long. Multiple days of sunshine and little rainfall have provided DeLong Construction crews uninterrupted days of work on the project. The project’s construction bid cost a total of $125,000 and is set to be completed by the end of September.
