The Brighton Chamber of Commerce met Tuesday night and made the decision to cancel the 2020 Brighton Whoopee Days celebration. Event organizer Judy Augustine says due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in Washington County, the chamber felt it was a risk to hold the event at this time. The 110th annual event was originally postponed from June to September. It was set to kick off September 24. The 2021 edition of the event will take place on Father’s Day weekend.
