Washington’s old egg-shaped sewer line will be cleaned in the next month. The City Council recently approved paying $15,000 to clean out the sewer line and televise. City Administrator Brent Hinson explained the line is the city’s original sewer dating from the late 1800s and it has several areas with large tree roots or other blockages. He explained that televising the line will help staff understand better the condition of the entire sewer for future prioritization of repairs.
