The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team will be back at the friendly confines of Dwight Gingerich Court on Thursday when they welcome Mediapolis to Kalona for a Southeast Iowa Superconference match. Hillcrest comes in with an overall record of 0-5 after a four set loss at Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday. On the season, the Ravens are led by Esther Hughes with 27 kills. Norah Yoder has a team best 23 assists. Grace Miller leads the Raven defense with 51 digs.
Mediapolis comes into the match with an overall record of 1-4. The Bullettes got their first win of the season Tuesday when they swept Highland in straight sets. For the year, MEPO is led by Josie Wolter with 32 kills. Kennedy Welliver is the team leader with 41 assists. Brianna Birkenstock leads the Mediapolis defense with 22 digs. These two teams met once a season ago with the Bullettes scoring a sweep. Action begins tonight at 6p.m. in Kalona.
