Walkers, runners, and cyclists on the Kewash Trail may see crews out on the trail in the next few weeks. The Washington County Conservation Board is having a soil boring company take soil samples along the trail. The data collected will be used in the next enhancements of the trail anticipated to happen next year. The soil boring will begin at the west end of the new paving and will continue westbound to the Crooked Creek Bridge. The trail will remain open for people to use during this process.

The Phase 2 enhancements are set for a DOT bid letting in February with construction to follow.
