In an all-KCII area matchup Friday at Roth Field in Wayland, it was all about the visitors from Lone Tree as they scored a 42-6 win over the WACO Warriors. Lone Tree scored in every frame on a sloppy Friday night with a pair of touchdowns in the first and second quarters to take a 28-0 lead into the break. Each team would find the end zone in the third as WACO broke up the shut out but still trailed 34-6 going to the final period. In the fourth, the Lions added one more insurance score to seal the win.

Lone Tree had a big night on the ground, posting 310 yards and five scores. They finished with 352 yards of total offense. Alex Viner led the way with 173 yards on 17 carries and a trio of touchdowns. Cade Shield had 20 carries for 135 yards and two more scores. Cade Patterson pulled in three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Hemsted led the Lone Tree defense with 11 tackles. The win was the first on the season for Lone Tree as they improve to 1-1, the loss was the second straight for WACO as they drop to 1-2.
