The City of Sigourney has been awarded a $25,000 Wellmark grant for a project to make better use of the city’s tennis courts. This grant will help to repurpose the city’s tennis courts into pickleball and shuffleboard courts. In addition, the city will install a windbreak by adding a fence, and also purchase umbrellas, tables, chairs, and benches for players to sit and rest. The city expects to have the installations done by spring 2021.
