The Washington volleyball team was back on the court Saturday in Ottumwa and they dropped three matches in the tournament.

The Demons were swept by Mount Pleasant 25-15 and 25-18, Davis County 25-17 and 25-16, and Fairfield 26-24 and 25-19. Olivia Marek led the team on the day with 12 kills, Emma Nichols assisted on 12 points, and Keira Messinger recorded 34 digs.

Washington drops to 0-10 on the year and they look for their first conference win tonight hosting Burlington. The Grayhounds are 5-4 and Madison Bunton does a little bit of everything leading the team with 30 kills, 87 assists, nine blocks, and second with 34 digs. All of the action begins at 7:30 p.m. in Washington and fans are required to wear masks.
