The Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball tournament finals were held Saturday at Southeastern Community College in Burlington and a pair of area teams fell in the first round. 

Winfield-Mt. Union came into the day as the four seed and they lost a best of three match to five-seeded West Burlington with set scores of 25-13 and 25-16. Sydney Marlow was a handful for the Falcons with 11 kills. The Wolves were led by Jenna Buffington with five kills and eight digs, Kayla Edwards had six assists, and the team was successful on 90% of their serves.

WACO squared off with Central Lee in the three vs. six matchup and the Warriors jumped out to a 25-19 win in the first set, but fell 25-21 and 15-13 in the final two. Grace Coble set up the Warrior offense with 29 assists, Morgan Graber recorded 10 kills, Lona Farrier three blocks, and Aubri Garnsey finished with 21 digs. 

Holy Trinity won the tournament by defeating West Burlington and Central Lee.

WACO drops to 19-2 on the season and they travel to face Louisa-Muscatine tonight. WMU is 15-5 and they host Hillcrest Academy on Thursday.
