The final regular season bout at Case Field will be tonight for the Washington football team when they welcome Burlington for Senior Night.
Twenty senior Demons will be honored and they look to stay perfect on the season currently sitting at 5-0. The offense is starting to find their stride after posting 109 points combined in the last two games. Trashaun Willis has been responsible for 16 touchdowns and 824 yards of total offense.
The Demon defense will look to feast on a struggling Grayhound offense, as 1-3 Burlington has reached double digits just one time this season and last week fell to Fort Madison 55-7. This is a team that will run the rock 45 times a game with Kanyae Baker finding the most success with 254 rushing yards.
Washington Head Coach James Harris is excited to honor the seniors. “I think this will be a special night for our seniors. The last home game of the regular season and hopefully we can take care of business. We have a tremendous group of seniors.”
Senior night festivities will take place before the game with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Listen to the play-by-play coverage on FM 106. 1 KCII starting at 7 p.m. The KCII Football Friday Preview Show to analyze all games in Southeast Iowa will start at 6 p.m.
