According to the National Weather Service, the normal average temperature for the ninth month of the year in Washington is 64 degrees and this year it was 63.2 degrees. The normal precipitation is 3.6 inches for September and last month Washington had 5.2 inches of precipitation.

Looking at the year-to-date statistics, Washington’s average temperature of 54 degrees is about one degree above normal and the rainfall amount is about 1.5 inches above normal at 31 inches of precipitation.
