The Highland football team traveled to Lisbon Friday night to meet the No. 10 ranked Lions in class A district action. The Lions beat the Huskies by a 52-6 final count. Lisbon jumped on Highland early, leading 20-0 after the first quarter and 39-0 at the half. The Lions racked up 521 yards of total offense, including 427 on the ground. Highland finished with 92 total yards. The Huskies turned the ball over four times on the night. Owen Donovan led the way for Highland with nine carries for 38 yards. He also led the Highland defense with eight tackles. The Huskie’s points came on special teams when Connor Grinstead returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. With the loss, Highland is now 1-4 on the year and the Huskies get ready to travel to Regina to end the regular season Friday.
