The Lone Tree School District will have an increased police presence and be in soft lockdown mode after a threat against the school district was made earlier in the week. Johnson County authorities made the social media threat known to the school district Tuesday night. On Wednesday classes were held online.
As of Wednesday evening, authorities do not know who is responsible for creating the threat. Each classroom will have their doors locked at all times, no one will be allowed outside, and students will be moved into the building right away in the morning. Superintendent Ken Crawford asks for the students and parents’ full support and patience as the district continues to work out the details of this threat.
