The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team is on the road tonight to take on rival Iowa City Regina. Mid-Prairie stands at 6-14 on the season, and are 1-5 in the River Valley Conference, after an 0-4 weekend at the Clear Creek Amana tournament where the Hawks dropped matches to Union LaPorte City, North Scott, Central DeWitt and the Clippers. On the year, Mid-Prairie is led by Tori Boyse with 41 kills. Landry Pacha has 181 assists, fifth most in the River Valley Conference. Paige Peiffer leads the Mid-Prairie defense with 93 digs.

Iowa City Regina is 9-8 on the season. The Regals own a 3-4 mark in the River Valley Conference. Regina picked up a pair of wins over the weekend at the Washington tournament, taking out Highland and Hillcrest Academy. On the season the Regals are led by Annie Gahan with 107 kills, eighth in the RVC. Alli Dillon has 141 assists, sixth most in the River Valley. Hope Simpson leads the Regina defense with 99 digs. These two teams met three times a year ago with the Regals beating the Hawks in all matches. Regina has won 10 straight in the series with Mid-Prairie’s last victory coming in 2014. Action begins tonight at 7p.m. at Iowa City Regina High School.
