Residents of Washington can start raking their leaves for the city’s leaf vacuum to pick them up. Washington’s maintenance and construction superintendent JJ Bell says the leaf vacuum has been serviced and is ready to go. It will start making the rounds on Monday (10/19).
Residents can rake their leaves to the terrace area, between the sidewalk and the street. The vacuum will then come by and pick them up. Leaves should be kept out of the street as they can create drainage and traffic hazards.
The final day it will operate this season is November 25th.
