The City of Columbus Junction has issued a boil order in effect until further notice. A water main break in the city caused this boil order to be issued. This will affect residents in Columbus Junction north of Highway 92. Tap water should not be consumed at this time, residents should drink bottled water until this issue is resolved. Tap water should be boiled for a minimum of 10 minutes before using it for cooking. City officials do know what caused the water main to break and do not have an estimated time for the main to be fixed.
