The Washington County Conservation Department is preparing to winterize their water services as the colder weather approaches. Water services are shut off prior to the winter season in order for the underground pipes to not freeze over and cause damage to the system. Campers can expect water to be turned off for the Marr Park Campground, shower house, and Mary Marr Lodge within the coming weeks. There is no set date for the shut off to happen, the decision will be weather dependent. The conservation department will give campers adequate notification prior to services being shut off.
