A scheduled volleyball match on Monday night did not occur in Winfield. The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves were scheduled to host the Hillcrest Academy Ravens in the opening round of the class 1A regional volleyball tournament. With a number of players in quarantine due to possible COVID-19 exposure, the Ravens were unable to compete and forced to forfeit the contest, ending their season, and the Wolves advanced. With the loss, Hillcrest wraps up their year at 3-20. Winfield-Mt. Union is now 22-6 and into the second round of regional play Wednesday when they host 14-5 Burlington Notre Dame who swept Wapello in the opening round.
