Due to the recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control that kids not participate in door-to-door trick-or-treating this year, the City of Riverside has formulated an alternative to celebrate the Halloween holiday. Riverside residents are encouraged to don their costumes, take a picture, and submit that photo to the City of Riverside through their website. Best costume will be judged in five categories; ages three and under, four- to seven- year olds, eight- to 12- year olds, 13- to 15- year olds, and 16-18- year olds. Each entry will be published with the costume character alias and the real names of the winning contestants will be announced. Voting will take place on the city web page from October 20th through the 29th with the winners published on October 30th.
