Saturday the Iowa High School Athletic Association released the third and fourth round pods for high school football teams and two area schools will enjoy home cooking.
Washington and Sigourney-Keota are the lone area schools still alive and you can listen to both teams on AM and FM KCII in the round of 16. The #4 ranked in class 3A Demons will welcome #9 West Delaware to Case Field in a game that can be heard on FM 106.1. Washington is 8-0 and advanced after a 47-6 win over Keokuk on Friday. The Hawks are 9-1 and beat Western Dubuque 55-20 last week. The winner of this game will face Davenport Assumption (8-0) or North Scott (5-1) in the quarterfinals.
The Cobras are ranked #3 in class 1A and they will host unranked Dyersville-Beckman in a contest that can be heard on AM 1380 and FM 102.5. Sigourney-Keota is a perfect 8-0 and they blanked Cardinal 49-0 in the second round. The Trailblazers are 6-2 and they edged Durant 19-14. The winner will face Mediapolis (7-2) or Waterloo Columbus (7-1) next week.
