A bank in downtown Washington will be closing at the first of the year. The Washington branch of U.S. Bank will be closing on January 2, 2021. The bank is located at 300 South Iowa Avenue.
At Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting, it was stated that the sheriff’s office is currently in the process of moving their funding from U.S. Bank to Hills Bank due to the upcoming branch closure.
U.S. Bank Vice President in Williamsburg and District Manager Chad Driscoll says that accounts housed at the Washington branch will be unaffected and will remain open with U.S. Bank. Those with safety deposit boxes will need to close those due to the building no longer being operated as a retail location.
