Sigourney’s Mason Moore capped off his cross country career on Saturday competing at the state meet in Fort Dodge.
The senior placed 125th out of 152 runners in the class 1A boys’ race with a time of 19:48. Brady Griebel of Bellevue took home the crown with a time of 15:52. This was the third time running at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course for Moore after qualifying in 2018 and 2019 as well. Moore punched his ticket to state after placing 10th at districts in Ottumwa.
This marks the end of his career, as the senior plans to attend The University of Iowa next fall to major in civil engineering.
