The Mid-Prairie School District’s certified enrollment is down this year. Total enrollment dropped from 1,232.50 to 1,223 students. This loss of nine and a half students will result in a funding loss of about $70,000 for the district. The biggest decrease for the district came in the category of pre-K to 4 students attending the statewide voluntary preschool program where 10.5 students were lost, while the district saw an increase of 24 students in non-resident public students. Actual enrollment district wide stayed steady at 1,276 students. A total of 455 students open enrolled in from other areas, while just 36 open enrolled out. Broken down by building 295 students attend the middle school, 290 are in the high school, there are 210 students each in Mid-Prairie East and West Elementaries while 145 students are enrolled in the Mid-Prairie Virtual Academy.
