
A woman was arrested following a traffic stop in rural Washington County Thursday afternoon. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 1:06 p.m. a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy made a vehicle stop near Palm Avenue and 220th Street. Three more sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene.
The driver was 43-year-old Cynthia Wooldridge of Tiffin. She was arrested for assault on a peace officer, driving while revoked, no insurance, and interference with official acts.
She was also cited for an incident that happened in West Chester on June 20th where a man was run over by a vehicle and taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. Wooldridge was cited for driving under suspension, no proof of insurance, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
She was taken to the Washington County Jail.
