Five items of new business await the Washington County Board of Supervisors on their weekly agenda before they officially canvas the general election ballots. In new business the board will consider a 28E agreement with the City of Kalona on maintenance responsibilities for the property recently annexed by the City of Kalona that was formerly part of Shiloh. The board will also consider appointments to the Riverside Planning and Zoning Commission, consider a resolution setting a date for public hearing regarding possible sale of county-owned real estate, hear a COVID-19 update, and a personnel change request from the county attorney’s office.

The one item of old business is discussion and action to extend temporary increase in the maximum vacation accrual for county staff.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse and can be accessed remotely.
