At the Wayland City council meeting November 4th, the council filled their remaining vacancy. Jamie Roth submitted a letter of interest to fill the open seat. A motion was made and unanimously approved to add Roth to the council until the next city council election in November of 2021. The position became open when council member Chet Fort resigned his position in October to accept an appointment to mayor that will continue through the end of 2021. The mayoral position became open after the unexpected passing of Greg Rich in mid-September.
