The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk middle school boys and girls cross country teams both qualified for the class 2A state meet in Marshalltown. The Mid-Prairie boys finished third in the state with their score of 77. Anamosa won the state title with 52 points. Top finish for the Mid-Prairie boys came from Jayse Yoder in 7th with a time of 11:02. Other Golden Hawk finishers included Emmett Swartzentruber eighth, Preston Yutzy 29th, Griffin Caskey 33rd, Rowan Miller 35th and Jesse Stultz 37th.

The Golden Hawk girls were 12th in a field of 16 teams with their score of 178 points. Williamsburg won the team title in 2A with 35 points. Top Mid-Prairie finish came from Grace Puttman in 37th with a time of 13:31. Other Mid-Prairie finishers included Dessa Poll 41st, Anna Flynn 43rd, Charlotte Sieren 57th, Ashlee Farrier 67th and Elise Gingerich 78th.
