A new director has been selected for the Washington Economic Development Group (WEDG). The WEDG Board announced Mary Audia of Iowa City will be the new director. Audia is a native Iowan with a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Northern Iowa and a Doctorate from Palmer College. She has created, operated, and then sold two businesses that are still in operation. Also, she’s previously served on the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce Board. Audia will begin the role in early December.

The position became open following the sudden passing of WEDG Director David Collins in July.
