The Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate single vehicle incidents Thursday morning.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 1:30 a.m. 20-year-old Jaina Rusch of Winfield lost control of a Ford Ranger northbound in the 1700 block of Oasis Avenue, went into the ditch and rolled into a fence line. Damages to the fence were minor, but the vehicle was totaled. No charges have been filed, but the incident remains under investigation.
At around 7:30 a.m. 24-year-old Trenton Ewing of Fort Madison lost control of his vehicle while driving eastbound in the 1700 block of Highway 34 and went into the ditch. Ewing was charged with operating while intoxicated, open container, failure to maintain control and failure to provide security against liability insurance. No injuries or damage to the vehicle were reported.
