One person fled on foot from a vehicle wreck that occurred early Thursday morning in Washington.

According to the Washington County Communications Center, the Washington Police Department was in pursuit of a stolen silver Suzuki at about 1:36 a.m. near West Jackson Street and South Marion Avenue when the Suzuki crashed into another vehicle and the suspect fled. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Law enforcement searched the area and found several cars either with doors open or interior lights still on. The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie with the hood up. The incident remains under investigation, and KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
