Washington for Justice has already far exceeded their expectations for their inaugural holiday meal kit program, and is still accepting donations and requests from families who may need a free dinner.
The organization has partnered with the Washington Hy-Vee and Fareway to provide meal kits for local families, and while they initially planned to give out 25 kits, this week they confirmed they have enough monetary donations to make at least 46 families’ December brighter. Meal kit requests and monetary donations are being accepted through tomorrow, with turkey or ham and Latino kit options. Kits will then be distributed either through porch delivery or at the Mills Seed Building on Monday, December 21st. To volunteer, email washingtonforjustice@gmail.com.
