A Mount Pleasant man is facing multiple domestic abuse charges following an incident Wednesday night.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call shortly after 8:00 p.m. regarding a physical altercation occurring in the 2400 block of Brandon Lane in Mount Pleasant. Their investigation led to the arrest of 21-year-old Derek Brake on charges of domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow, a class D felony, and domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.

Brake had an initial court appearance Thursday morning and was held on $5,000 bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
