It was a strong end to the first half of the season for the Sigourney-Keota wrestling team on Saturday when the Cobras placed third at the Iowa City Regina Invitational.

The Cobras were third out of 10 teams with 123 points while MFL MarcMac won it all with 247. Pekin edged S-K by one point for the runner-up spot. Four Cobras were in the top three for their weight class led by runner-up finishers in Aidan Schuster and Cade Streigle. Schuster went 2-1 at 182 lbs with a pair of pins in a combined 3:45 and Streigle went 1-1 at 195 lbs with a fall in 3:10. Other notable performances included Jack Clarahan third at 160 lbs, Cade Molyneux third at 170 lbs, Daniel McLaughlin fourth at 126 lbs, and Reid Molyneux fourth at 138 lbs.

The Cobras are now off for the holiday break with the season resuming on January 7th.
