The Christmas and New Year’s holidays will mean closures for city offices in Kalona, Riverside and Wellman.

City halls for all three communities will be closed this Thursday and Friday and December 31 and January 1. The city-operated Goodwin Center in Wellman is also closed for the same dates.

The Wellman-Scofield Library in Wellman will be closed  tomorrow (Dec. 24) through December 29. They will resume curbside checkout and in-library browsing December 30 before closing again December 31 through January 4.

The Kalona Public Library will be closed this Thursday and Friday as well as December 31 and January 1.  They will be open for curbside-only checkout from 9:30 a.m. to noon this Saturday and on January 2.

The holidays will not affect the garbage pickup days for any of those cities.
