The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team traveled to Central DeWitt High School for their final action before Christmas at the Saber Invitational Tournament. Mid-Prairie was seventh of 13 teams with an overall score of 92 points. West Delaware won the team title with 255.5 points. Mid-Prairie crowned one champion on the day with Josh Wallington taking home the title at 220lbs. Wallington beat Lane Stender of Maquoketa by 11-3 major decision in the championship bout. Other top finishes on the day for the Hawks included Cael Garvey third at 195 and Gannon Callahan third at 285. Mid-Prairie will next be in action Thursday, January 7th for a River Valley Conference quadrangular at Northeast Goose Lake.
